Evil eye has been mentioned in the Quran

Evil eye is a universal phenomenon that can afflict almost any of us. However, there are lots of people who do not believe in it. They feel that only superstitious people believe in it and they consider it as irrational and unscientific.

In this blog I am going to prove the belief of evil eye by citing reference from the holy Quran.

51And verily, those who disbelieve would almost make you slip with their eyes (through hatred) when they hear the Reminder (the Qur'an), and they say: "Verily, he (Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم) is a madman!"

52But it is nothing else than a Reminder to all the 'Alamin (mankind, and jinn).

Surah qalam chaptor no 68 verse no 51,52

This reference proves that evil eye is a fact and it can have negative repercussions on those afflicted by it.

Evil eye has been mentioned in the Hadith also.

Assalam oalaikum,

Prophet Mohamad (saws) says, “If anyone has been afflicted by evil eye then the person should recite Mauzaten (Surah An Naas aur Surah Falaq) and blow over oneself."

(Sahih Bukhari, V:7 Kitabul Tib H:5738).

The Quran says, “Mashallah laa Quwata illa billah.(suratul kahf ayat 39).

It is narrated by Hazrat Anas that Prophet (saws) has said that whenever a person looks at something and they admire it, they should read this Quranic verse because it will stay protected. In some narrations it has been mentioned that if you look at something that you love and say the above words then the evil eye will not affect it.

Thus Mashallah laa quwata illa billah should be read when one is overwhelmed by any of his possessions, children, wealth etc

In Hadith Muwatta 50.1,

Yahya related to me from Malik that Muhammad ibn Abi Umama ibn Sahl ibn Hunayf heard his father say, "My father, Sahl ibn Hunayf took a bath (ghusl) at al-Kharrar. He took off the jubbah he was wearing while Amir ibn Rabia was looking on and Sahl was a man with beautiful, fair skin. Amir said to him, 'I had never seen anything like what I saw today, not even the skin of a virgin.' Sahl fell ill immediately and his condition aggravated. Somebody went to Prophet Mohammad (saws) and told him that Sahl was ill, and would not be able to go with him. Prophet Mohammad (saws) came to him and Sahl told him about the incidence that took place. Prophet Mohammad (saws) said, 'Why does one of you kill his brother? Why did you not say, "May Allah bless you?" (ta baraka-llah) The evil eye is a fact. Do wudu from it.' Amir did wudu from it and Sahl went with the Prophet Mohammad (saws) and he got well soon after.

In Hadith - At-Tirmidhi, narrated Abu Sa'id al-Khudri that Prophet Mohammad (saws) used to seek protection from the Jinn and the evil eye till Surahs al-Falaq and an-Nas were revealed. After they were revealed he stuck to them and rejected everything besides them (Transmitted by Tirmidhi.)

The negative effects of evil eye

Assalam oalaikum,

We know that the sting of the scorpion and the tongue of the snake is poisonous, naturally. The eyes of certain people also become poisonous as a result of their negative energies, i.e. when people indulge in negative emotions such as envy, hatred, bitterness, anger etc. When such people look at things that they envy, the poison from their eyes penetrates into that person or object. This causes harm to their object of envy.

It is a misconception that only a stranger can inflict evil eye on us. We can get affected by evil eye even by our own kith and kin. Moreover, evil eye can affect not only human beings but also animals, house, car, bungalow, business, beauty, crops, orchards or gardens, health, respect, status, children, aged people, treasures, birds, flowers, plants, wealth, property, education, lifestyle etc.

Some people are aware about this menace of evil eye and whenever they have a doubt that they have been affected by evil eye, they immediately get it cured. This immediate and timely action nullifies all the negative effect of evil eye and things become normal once again.

Unfortunately, those who do not believe in this phenomenon suffer as the negativity perpetuates in their aura.

The main motive of my writing this blog is to create awareness about writing this blog evil eye so that everyone can understand this phenomenon and protect oneself from its ill-effects.

Whoever is affected by evil eye falls sick or else may suffer from several diseases, one after another.

He or she gets faces one problem after another.

Shortage of sustenance

Loss in business

Household articles become useless

Loss in any form, whether it is an accident or health trouble.

Children fall sick again and again.

Lack of confidence and a strange fear encompasses the mind.

A happy family falls apart all of a sudden

Relatives give a cold shoulder or else turn into enemies.

There is no peace in life

The environment of the house becomes negative.

Any object that is beautiful may break.

The person becomes weak.

spiritual cure for children affected by evil eye (nazar utaarna)

Assalam oalaikum

Infants are prone to getting afflicted by evil eye. If this happens then the infants cry incessantly and become irritable. Such infants can be cured in a spiritual way by the parents.

Symptoms of evil eye effect on infants:

They cry a lot

They become irritable

They become stubborn

They become restless

they become weak

they fall sick

The method of curing them spiritually:

Make the child stand straight by giving him support.

Take an egg and make complete rotations around the child starting from head to feet, 7 times.

While making the rotations recite 4 Quls and Surah Fateha 4 times.

Keep the egg at such a place where an eagle, crow or a cat will eat it.

Repeat this procedure till 3 days. Inshallah there will be a miraculous recovery

How to do away with evil eye

Assalam oalaikum

If a person gets afflicted by an envious person’s evil eye then the negative effects should be cured immediately, in order to nip the problem in the bud. If there is negligence on part of the victim then the evil effects will perpetuate and the there will be difficulty in curing the illness. If left untreated the illness brought about due to evil eye may get treated somehow. But it may go after giving a lot of pain to the victim.

Since Prophet Mohammad (SAWS) has granted us the permission of getting oneself spiritually cured to cleanse oneself of the negative effects of evil eye, then we should exactly as he had proposed.

In today’s world people who are educated regard paranormal beliefs, such as evil eye, as mere superstitions. However, evil eye not something baseless, as it has been mentioned in the Holy Quran. Those people who are oblivious about evil eye may end up facing a lot of trouble as a result of their ignorance.

I have mentioned the symptoms of evil eye in post # 4. of this blog

Whoever has been affected by evil eye can remove the ill-effects himself or by taking someone else’s help, in the following way:

Buy a little meat from the butcher.

If one cannot afford to buy meat then ask the butcher to give the leftovers, which are usually free of cost.

Then rotate the meat or leftovers from your head to feet 7 times, in a clock-wise way.

Throw this meat on your terrace from where the eagles and crows will pick up the meat pieces within some time.

Recite Surah Naas and Falaq 300 times after every namaz.

Repeat this amal till 3 days. Inshallah, within 3 days the person will start feeling better.

The method of burning away the effects of evil eye

Assalam oalaikum,

Another way of getting rid of evil eye effects is by burning it. The Buzurgs can check out themselves whether they have been affected by evil eye or not. As a matter of fact, the hands of a person who has been affected, smell like fish, i.e. a rotten smell emanates from their hands. Some other people get themselves checked by consulting an Amil. In some cases the effect is quite severe and the Amil may tell the victim about this. The remedy that I am about to tell can do away with even the most severe evil eye affects. Severe effect of evil eye gives a jolt to the person. The person may fall sick all of a sudden, without any obvious reason. The people who are aware about these facts, therefore do not waste any time and cure themselves at home.

The symptoms of a severe evil eye effect are as follows:

The body feels hot.

Sudden illness may take over the victim.

Restlessness

Burning sensation in the eyes

Severe headache

A feeling of a panic

Such an intense effect can be burnt away in the following way:

Ask the victim to stand straight

Take 7 whole red chilies.

Rotate the chilies 7 times in a clock-wise direction, starting from the head to feet.

While rotating, recite 4 Quls 4 times each and Surah Fateha 4 times too.

Then rotate the chilies in an anti-clockwise direction, and recite the same prayers.

Keep the 7 chilies on a stove and burn them completely, till 10 minutes or so.

Repeat this amal till 3-4 days. Inshallah the harmful effects will get nullified, however severe they might be.
